Thank God for the Temple

This happened a few weeks ago, but I've been meaning to write about it since so here it is. For the first time in my life I actually went to the temple hoping to get an answer to a question. Marc & I were trying to decide if we should move or not (from an apt. to a house but it was more money). I prayed a few times at the end of the session and on my way home I actually got my answer! But it was a different version if you will. I didn't really get a push either way, just a peace about whatever we decided would be alright and stop stressing about it. I love it when God answers prayers in interesting ways.

Anyways, I just had to write about that because I'm so happy I'm worthy to actually go to the temple and receive revelation for me and my family (Marc & our 2 cats). We went to the L.A. temple today, it's huge!

Happy World Ocean Day!

Today I watched a webcast of Julie Packard (Monterey Bay Aquarium founder and Executive Director) and Alton Brown (from the Food Network) about conservation and eating seafood in general. They kept mentioning the Seafood Watch program so I finally looked it up online. This is a wonderful resource! They have info. for all the areas of the U.S. Print it out and carry it with you so you'll know what seafood to eat. I'm excited to take this with me next time I eat sushi.

Welcome to our blog!

Ok, here it finally is, a blog from both of us.

This week has been tiring to say the least. We're both happy tomorrow is Friday, and luckily we only have one kid each to see (mine is in the morning, Marc's in the afternoon). I've stayed up late these past few days and it's finally caught up with me. Marc is cursing his school for changing the financial aid due date at the last minute and then enforcing late fees. So tonight we're grumpy together, but at least not AT each other.

I am tired now so I'm off to take a bath. I might fall asleep so I'll have Marc come kiss me every 5 minutes to keep me awake.
